Artist Julie Shaw has perfected her fabrication process over years of jewelry-making: each piece is polished, sterling silver is oxidized, and every element is sawn, soldered, textured, and set by hand. This one-of-a-kind necklace is crafted from oxidized sterling silver, fine silver bezel, 18k bimetal, surfite, sugilite, and beads of phosphosiderite, a rare mineral made up of iron and phosphate. This remarkable piece closes with a lobster clasp.
