23k gold and 12k white gold leaf are rolled on to the glass bubble while the piece is being blown. A delicate folding of the leaves makes each one unique. The gold is of the highest quality, custom made in Germany to the artist's specifications of thickness and composition. The surface of the vessel is molded to a rippled texture, accentuating its reflective metallic surface.
