This lovely pastoral work depicting hungry cattle was first sketched by Melinda Buie in oil pastels; she then meticulously applied acrylic paint in layers before using turpentine to erase some of the original pastel marks, leaving sketched lines. Final flourishes in oil paint bring the piece to life. Gallery-wrapped canvas with unfinished edges, it's signed on the back and ready to hang.
