Inspired by Mary Oliver's poem "When I Am Among The Trees", this work was inspired by the sight of a forest in winter, snowflakes falling softly and sparkling in the air. To achieve her desired effect, Jeanne LaCasse made silver leaf "confetti" and utilized rock salt to embed in the oil paint and cold wax medium. The painting is matted, shipped flat with a backer board and enclosed in a protective cellophane envelope. Not ready to hang.
